On Thursday, January 28th, GSW Arena LLC and JP Morgan Chase announced that the new sports and entertainment center in Mission Bay will officially be named “Chase Center.”
The announcement was made in true championship fashion at San Francisco’s own Masonic Auditorium as representatives from Chase and the Golden State Warriors packed the house. President and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, was joined by Warriors front office staff for a Q&A session emceed by ESPN anchor, Sage Steele.
Following the much-anticipated announcement, the crowd was treated to a special performance by Charles Kelly of the Grammy award-winning, Lady Antebellum.
“This partnership is a great example of our commitment to the Bay Area and how important this market is to us,” said Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO, JPMorgan Chase. “The Bay Area is a beacon for technology, innovation and education and we expect that Chase Center will become a beacon of great art, culture, sports and entertainment for this great community.”
In addition to arena naming rights, we were thrilled to find that JPMorgan Chase is committed to investing 25 million dollars over the next three years to drive economic growth for underserved Bay Area communities.
We can’t wait for the Chase Center to open in 2019!
