On Monday, January 11th, more than 1,000 local firefighters and law enforcement officers cheered on the Warriors during Local Heroes Night at Oracle Arena. For the third consecutive year, the team has celebrated the brave men and women that serve our communities each day across the Bay Area.
Warriors Ground SF was proud to host the San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798 for the festivities. Prior to the game, they took the court to face off against other Bay Area based fire departments for the Danny Armenta Memorial tournament. SFFD Local 798 had a great time competing against fellow firefighters from Oakland and Alameda as each team tried to score as many Steph Curry-esque threes as possible!
Afterwards, members of Local 798 also spent some time learning about the new arena in San Francisco. We had a chance to catch up with SFFD Lieutenant and Local 798 Board member, Shon Buford, who said, "The San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798 find the Warriors to be a great community partner who have shown an impressive commitment to collaboration within our community. We're excited to welcome them back home to San Francisco!"
Warriors Ground SF would like to thank all of our Local Heroes! We look forward to celebrating your service in our community for years to come.
