The Golden State Warriors were presented with the Key to the City during a special ceremony at San Francisco City Hall yesterday. Rick Welts, team Chief Operating Officer, and players Klay Thompson and Draymond Green accepted the prestigious honor presented by Mayor Ed Lee.
Warriors Ground SF Supporter and Mission Bay neighbor, Jennifer Curtin (pictured below), said "The event was delightful! The dedication and support that Klay and Draymond show to the Bay Area community is inspiring - they are great guys on and off the court! Warriors Ground SF has done a terrific job getting the community involved in the Mission Bay project. I am impressed at the amount of community outreach you've done! Now that the Warriors have the key to the city, we sure hope to see them play in Mission Bay in 2018!"
Thanks to all of our supporters and volunteers that attended yesterday's celebration.
It was great to witness history with you! Go Dubs!
