On June 12th, Warriors Ground SF was happy to participate in another successful Sunday Streets in Golden Gate Park!
Our team set up with other organizations along JFK and 36th, a prime spot for pedestrian and bike traffic. Residents of the Sunset, Richmond District, and beyond came out to learn about the Warriors’ move to the city and the Chase Center. People were excited to hear about the new arena development, especially with the NBA finals in full swing and the possibility of a back to back championship.
The American Express Fan Van was also out at Sunday Streets, and kids and adults alike enjoyed shooting free-throws on their mobile basketball court, getting free swag, and showing their Warriors spirit. Other organizations at this Sunday Streets included the San Francisco Bike Coalition, Friends of the Urban Forest, the YMCA, and many more. We were excited to be out in the community on such a beautiful June day, and can’t wait to participate in July’s Sunday Streets in the Tenderloin!
